Password problem

I reset my password on EQEmu and now can't log into Everquest.

My issue is as follows:

1) When trying to change my password on EQEmu (or here), from the auto-generated one to one of my choosing I get the following message:

Invalid Current Password.

Multiple invalid attempts may block your access to this system.

I have tried this multiple times being very careful on what I'm entering and always receive the same.

2) I linked Project1999 to EQEmu without issue, but now if I try to reset my password again, I get the following:

You must have an SMS Number attached to your account in order to reset loginserver passwords. Use the SMS Verification link to the left to add one.

3) When I try to attach an SMS number, I get the following:

You have been locked out of this system for repeated invalid attempts. You must wait a bit before trying again.

I have waited over 15 minutes and still get the same.

Please help.

After waiting a couple hours I was able to do the SMS Attachment procedure. After that, I was able to reset my password and can now log back into Everquest.
