The dragon and the Buddha
The dragon roared and glared at Buddha. "I am mighty and the world should know of my power."
"Your true power lies in compassion, not in dominance," replied the smiling Buddha. "It is but a guilty pleasure," argued the dragon. "Surely, I am entitled to such a small thing." "It is a veil," replied the Buddha. "Yet it stands between you and your destiny. Let it go. Become holy. Make yourself something sacred." The dragon shook his head and clawed at the ground. He looked at the Buddha and away again. "Why is it yours to be so wise?" "We are one," said the Buddha, climbing onto the dragon's back. Together they flew into the morning sky. Goodbye, Project 1999 Rants and Flames. | ||
