Don't be retarded, Germany fell to Soviet troops not American. They would've lost anyway regardless of front pressure by our troops.
Think of it this way, the Soviet leadership treated it's soldiers like zerglings and would send 400,000 of them at 20,000 Germans and starve them out of supplies (Stalingrad) by essentially having one soldier pick up the dead soldiers gun and continue pressing forward.
again it's hard to beat an opponent that relates human life to numbers, even Germany was conscious about it's own troops.
