Missing or long forgotten items?

I know, but people also made and submitted hoax items to Allakhazam, quite often. There's no screenshots of the mob, no database entry from anyone ever having/linking the item in the years since, and I spent a lot of time in MM back in 99 without ever seeing/hearing about that mob. There's pretty much no evidence of it existing other than a submission to alla (and people mentioning hearing rumors of it, probably as a result of the hoax) and an easily doctored shot of the item.

It's possible it was a beta mob, or a GM event, but illusion: werewolf is a ridiculously OP click for a warrior compared to what else was available during the era.

was probably in Beta as it sounds like there was some pushing and tugging to have high lvl encounters within Mistmoore's castle

then with the obviously huge gap in levels between the yard trash and the master of the house they probably deemed the zone to be more of a leveling zone for 20ies-30ies rather than keep stuff in there for 50ies to come and kill.

Also, take a look at the screenshot of the item and compare it to a trakanon BP on the same link. Now compare it to the Rubicite breastplate screenshot. At some point around the launch of Kunark, they changed items to look a bit sleeker when right clicked with a smaller, tighter font.

If the SS of the werewolf skin were real, it's from after the era where the font was changed. If it's an actually an old item from beta/early mistmoore, then someone waited a very long time to submit a screenshot.
