In the UK you don't pay it back til you're earning over a certain amount, and then it comes out of your pay.
Quietly I think its responsible for a lot of English students getting their degrees, not being able to find work to go with it...and emigrating to somewhere nicer without the hassle of paying them back [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
