I fail to see why that's such a hard thing to believe. Wars are fought by completely regular guys. Most enlisted personnel are young people from working class backgrounds. He posted his CAC card; I highly doubt that was forged. I don't get this line of criticism at all.

People who have really been in combat don't talk about it to strangers. The ones who do are lying, or are batshit insane.

That seems like a pretty baseless generalization. My dad fought in Viet Nam and my grandpa fought in World War II and Korea. My dad didn't like to talk about it but my grandpa liked to talk about it a lot. He'd talk endlessly about the ships he was on and the ports they stopped in and the people he met. I never saw combat but I have no problems talking about my time in the service, although I mostly avoid it because usually people find it pretty dull. (It was dull.)

Protect me from what? Protect me from whom? Poor brown people who didn't do shit to any of us? Yeah, you're a real hero, Rambo. Congratulations for helping slaughter a million civilians to make the Middle East safe for McDonalds. How doe it feel to know you are fighting for corporations? If you had half a brain you would have just signed up with Blackwater. You wouldn't be a hypocrite then.

Ignorant, has no idea how the world works, and likes to bitch about shit with no solutions to contribute.

This is very true.

This means nothing other than the fact that he made it through training. As he stated himself, he was in the national guard, last time I checked the national guard didn't have too many, if any, actual combat arms units. So if he was as he said a medic, he most certainly was not a line medic in a combat arms unit(aka combat medic). Also training for a medic totals to about 6 months, the same amount of time you would get automatically promoted to E-2, his ID clearly shows that he is an E-1.

Hence my line of criticism being that he using the "I served my country" line of defense which means very to me at least when he is clearly lieing, or exaggerating what hes actually done.

No, it isn't. I have two uncles who were in combat, and they never talked to me about it. Ever. But their wives told me plenty of stories of getting beat up in the middle of the night when their husbands were having nightmares. Your grandpa's anecdotes of visiting ports is not talking about combat.

My younger brother is a plumber in my unit, my friends back here at home all range from infantry to interrogators in the marines, USCG, ARNG, reserve, and active duty army.

We talk about a lot of things to anyone willing to hear it, often. It's called, *GASP* conversation. You should try it sometime out in the real world, cavedweller.

Never once, anywhere, in this entire thread, did I mention that I had seen combat on deployment. That was an assumption made on your parts because you're too fucking dumb to read a simple statement.

My MOS was 68W, Combat Medic. That's its designation. But, if you weren't such a vacuous fucking retard, you would have googled it to save yourself the shame of being shown as being that monumentally dense. *golf clap* Bravo, genius.

I can think of a couple other possibilities. While it's certainly possible that he washed out or medicaled out during school, Finawin seems like a hothead to me. It's entirely possible that he went off on someone and got demoted.

To me the bottom line is that we just don't really know. Maybe he's full of shit, maybe not. I think I'll go for a walk.
