For me the whole point of PVP is the thrill of life and death, and the danger of losing a good piece of equipment and the reward of taking one.

Definitely I don't care about my PVP standing, or anything like that. I play SF4 and really like it and in a game like that it matters who you can just beat 1v1 and its a straight competition between skills and understanding different character mechanics.

An open world game can never be worth PVPing in and "balanced" in the sense that a good fighting game or FPS is. If I want to play a game where I have an honest chance at killing everyone I see, I will play an FPS which I do all the time.

But for a good RPG you need to be able to get fucked over.

Maybe we can convince braid mcwayde to make a pvp server thats just as messed up as everquest is.

The exp loss wasn't even that bad and exp gains are insane now. Currently Leveling a troll sk faster than I leveled a Druid on release.

Blue slowness not even classic. Feels extra slow. I agree tho. Item loot better motivator than exp loss tho..motivates people to kill each other while making them want to avoid death to the max.

In regards to PvP, that was actually something we asked about them prior to turning on the stream - it was something we were both really curious about. Not to mention Derubael, most posts here are about allowing boxing, mob variance, getting each other banned and everything else to secure PVE ADVANTAGES.

Then they wanna kick dirt at Brad for wanting to do PvP right and saying well we have a budget and here's what our time will cost to do that.

Even if this game doesn't have PvP right off the bat, it's going to provide more amusement than the next WoW clone. Period.

You get your PvE rewards (xp pots) potentially FOR FREE if the kick starter doesn't meet its goal.

How have none of you picked up on this?

Not when you have max No-Drop geared toons dropping bombs on people in 'bazaar gear'.

Smedley + no pvp = $0. not $12500, not $100, zero dollar. Seen his face in the vids? "Yeah guys I know, I fucked up thousand games, but this one is the right one. Got any dollar to spare by any chance ?"

Good one though. Rogaine gets royalties off of it btw ?
