![]() I was having this issue with a install I have used for the past 2 years, so I decided to do a new install to fix the issue but it is still happening with a bran new install.
The new install is completely up to date with the new spell file. I also did the dxua all in one update after the new install did not fix the issue. The issue is just this, I open eqgame.exe with the correct patchme etc. It opens up eq and I log in. I see all the servers and I choose one it acts like it is going to connect and about 1 second later I am right back at log in there are no errors. I have tried different servers etc this is very strange. I have worked with computers my whole life and I'm stuck. Oh and one more thing I have not been playing so this started to happen with the new patch that I downloaded recently.

![]() Have you tried running it with wineq by lavish software? I know that has fixed a lot of issues for people when they use that.

![]() I'm having this exact same problem, I tried playing it with wineq and it's doing the same thing, I noticed this happening after I upgraded the CPU on the computer I use for EQ from a Dual core AMD A4-5300 Trinity 3.4GHz to a Quad core AMD A10-6800K Richland 4.1GHz so at first I thought that was the problem but I see other people posting about this with no mention of hardware upgrading

![]() I copied my EQ directory to a thumb drive and copied it onto an old windows xp system a friend gave me, had to do some driver updating but it works fine now so I'm guessing it just doesn't work with my current hardware? If anyone has an answer to this please help because I don't want to have to have a different computer in my room just for EQ, and I don't want to downgrade for it either

![]() I have played with my current set up with no problems. I have a AMD 8530 or something. I try a few logins every day but it just wont go. This has only started since the new patches... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

![]() I had something like this happen a while back, no one could figure it out so I ended up not playing 99 anymore. A while after that, my pc was getting ragged out so I decided to reinstall the OS - not a full HDD wipe, just reinstall the OS over itself. Low and behold, I was able to play 99 again after the OS reinstall.

![]() I almost think it's because of my internet connection that is preventing me from playing. I have all the same issues listed above. But some days like today I log right into the game with no problems but other nights I can't even get into the game after like 15+ attempts.

![]() I fixed it!
It was bois settings with the RAM. The 1017 errors are not easy to fix they could be a bad chip on the mobo, overclocking etc. Something in EQ dose not like it when there are certaint settings in the bios about clock speeds cup or ram alike.
