I'm glad you mentioned this. This is actually not how classic EQ works. Never in the history of EQ did you have months between resets, with all the mobs killed during vampire hours in a 3 hour window week in and week out. I'm glad you believe this is "classic," but as someone who raided in cutting edge end game guilds on Xegony and The Nameless, as well as Guided and took interest in the server I was a Guide on, I can assure you it isn't.

Would you argue that it was the intent of the EQ devs for shit to crash randomly multiple times a month? Of course not. If they could have kept the servers up and stable for months on end they would have. They also would have never kept a server alive with R99's population, it would have been merged ages ago. There is no classic reference point for what we have so stop trying to use one.
