It is clear from both Red99 and Zek on Live, PvP servers blow for EQ. They don't get the attention necessary to make the game balanced, and due to this they suck cause the core game isn't meant to be played in a PvP environment.

Wasting resources on another Red server would be stupid when the first one failed. A new blue server with patches timed such that there is no 3-year Kunark for 3-year Donal's BP etc. would be much more utilized by people.

205 people in Eastern Karana alone during the halloween event of 2001 on Rallos going batshit, pvping, pveing event mob. I still remember that time i did /who very clearly.

That being said, Project99 doesnt know what its doing regarding PVP servers so i wouldnt play on a new one unless i see some big changes.

This is a teams based MMO. With 6 on 6 it is balanced. The more...the more balanced.

Rock can't beat both paper and scissors just like a cleric can't beat a monk in 1 on 1 PvP combat.

But rock paper and scissors on a team is real good. Better then a team of 3 monks. Get it?

EQ rallos zek is literally the most rewarding PvP experience ever. Nothing else has come close.
