PLing in popular low end group zones should warrant immediate char deletion + permaban + neutering just imo.
Haters gonna hate I guess :/.

I just PLed 1-10 in Befallen when no one was there. Went to Unrest, did a CC, no one responded. Cleared out some of basement and top floor, a group shows up of low-mid 20s and asks if they can have FP, I said yes, and left 5-10 minutes later.

Fail to understand the issue if you aren't a retarded/dick PLer.

Imo, if you're affecting legit exp groups, go somewhere else to PL. Period.

We had a group in Oasis. A monk (Duckwalk) was PLing a bard (Abard). The monk ran up and down the entire beach pulling anything and everything. Eventually, our group fought over mobs with the monk. The monk began killing mobs pulled to our group, because some members had tagged some of the mobs the monk had pulled and FD'd for the bard to PL off of.

A guide arrived, and talked to the group leader, and then decided that because the monk and bard were "players too just like all the others in zone", and claimed that they were there first, they could continue the PLing. The guide then forced everyone else away from P1 the most populated area for mobs, and had our group move to P2 which is less populated.

The monk then continued to run up the beach in front of us, and pulled mobs from P2. The guide told us to "back off, while she handled the situation", and the monk continued his PLing for about 30 more minutes before he and the bard left.

Point is, selfish players are backed by the guides, don't waste your time reporting the PLing because obviously it's not considered disruptive, and is accepted behavior to PL in populated areas. The guide we dealt with was named "Eunomia", since people asked I will add that.
Bold sentence here is why you and your group were in the wrong. Even tho he FD the mobs im sure the bard either was already on the agro table or was quickly after. KSing is bad Mkay.

it is just in my opinion that perhaps you should travel outside of the cookie cutter xp groups and try somewhere new if the problem persists, there are tons of spots to try out in EQ!
while I agree having a pl in the same zone can be annoying there are ways to avoid it, i.e, moving to a new zone
also, just for curiosity, did you ever send a tell to the monk asking him to politely ease away from your camp?

You greatly underestimate the overhead in putting a low-lvl pickup group together and getting everyone in the same place and on the same page. By the time you move from unrest to runnyeye or whatever your tank has to leave and you're sol, etc.

Brut hit the nail on the head.

I've been to Kurn's Tower several times, usually to farm up a few bone chips but once was to PBAE PL a wizard. I don't pull the mobs others are clearing pulling, I pull all the other shit. If they're camping something, the mobs that they've killed will respawn exactly as fast as they killed them and won't end up in my pulls. Still, there are always people whining endlessly. I try to show up when things are least busy, but if I'm PLing there is precious little time in a week or even month that my girlfriend is available to play at the same time that I am; there are 720 hours in a month, if I'm going to spend 2-3 of them PLing my girlfriend I'm going to do it on my schedule, not yours. Sorry. FWIW I usually do anything I can to help the lowbies, including announcing/derailing trains, buffing as I can and PLing them while I wait on my mobs to repop.

Default Two sides to a story

Priceless.

Monk (Duckwalk) powerlvling real life friend Bard ( Abard) for several hours in Oasis on Deepwater Crocs without any issue from other players killing in the same area. Later a group shows up, attempts to steal the camp, start KSing multiple mobs despite several requests to move further down the beach and not KS, then reports monk and bard for "powerlvling".

After the GM involvement the other group was moved down the beach and told not to KS. We were asked to stop pulling from near them to "avoid future drama".

Two Sides to a story but clearly that monk bard combo are the greedy, depraved, assholes as was implied in the early post.
