I have beta tested a couple times and I can honestly tell you it is not worth it. The projected paths for each "class" offers even less than skyrim has now. (which is even less from oblivion and morrowind)

Your skills are already picked (not many)and you will know them ahead of time from the start. There is absolutely no variance due in part most likely to balancing issues. I love Elder scrolls with a passion and also fallout and I assure you guys what you THINK would make a great game is not what they are making.

In a time of Free to play games offering so much this game will go from p2p to f2p fast as fuck and I wouldn't be surprised if they already have the f2p format on standby after the cash grab is done.

Morrowind to Skyrim with the major change being mindless button spamming with very little brain input needed to play. . . it gets worse. . .but for all those that are blind to corporate greed and stockholders running the gaming show these days by all means go fucking waste your money.

Id rather play an action RPG than do the same boring fucking shit ive done a million times in other MMOs. Go there, fetch this lost dog, come back... move on to the next quest hub... i mean... LOL u serious beth, 2014?

Story and setting is only icing on the cake, it cant make a game, the game is the cake. If i want a good story ill open up a book. If you give me a game with great gameplay that has the icing on the cake, ill take it.

Emergent gameplay is the future of "serious" MMOs, not this happy-go-lucky helpy dark elf minicar ride bullshit. They might sell units, gain fans in the 8-15 age bracket, but yeah.
