The solution to this dilemma is to join the guild with the most people and most alts. That guild right now is TMO. You can be as skilled and organized as you want, but unless if have a similarly large force, there is no real competing. Everyone joins TMO because it's guaranteed loot. This is a problem which will keep perpetuating itself because it's 2013(almost 2014, not 1999.
