Rogue Gear

As I'm leveling up my main I want to pick up a couple rogue items along the way for a new character. I don't care about having top gear, just want some suggestions on some mid level gear. I have also never even made a melee character so it will all be new to me. I know I have read stuff about what makes best main hand and offhand before but when I typed in rogue in the forum search I didn't find anything worth while.

Should a rogue have their lowest delay in offhand, or highest damage? Piercing in main hand allows you to backstab meaning you can have a slashing in offhand?

As far as gear goes I guess ravenscale is what I need to go for, but what are some decent weapons I could aim for as I level up my necro?
