If you are trying to expedite a druid botb, declaring someone with the highest hp at a given second the winner is not the way to do it. Mana has much more bearing than hp for a healer. It would have provided a much more accurate gauge for who was winning. Whoever had the most at the end should have won unless it was close, then you do the math and consider hp as well.

Fight lasted 18 minutes. Snaring druids would do nothing to expedite the fight. We also told them multiple times that we would be deathtouching the druid with the least HP when the time we had set expired.

looking through my logs, that message is not even there, so many spectators didn't even see it

every botb match i played in, i was so heavily focused on the fight that i did not read a single message of chat other than my combat log, especially not the flood of /say messages from the spectators

it was absolutely ridiculous to say that mid-fight in a chat channel that is full of other messages, not to mention that deathtouching someone mid-fight when we've seen some pretty huge comebacks in other fights from the player down on hp

my fight against gongshow comes to mind, rushx vs zozo had a scenario where rushx was down to 3% hp against zozo's 100% and rushx made a comeback

both of us went on to win the whole thing; imagine if you had just decided to deathtouch us because you thought that the fight was "boring" and that we had already lost because we had a lower hp percentage

Its because they have GM status they believe they are gods and can take upon their own wisdom to say who is the best and who is not. Sektors could have had a chance, it sounds like he had a fair bit of a lead in mana. But oh well we'll never know.

From this event, I will most likely not participate in a botb for awhile or they figure out how to remain professional in this setting. The shit I was hearing was cringeworthy.

I don't really understand the CS here. I do pro bono work , volunteer work such as tutoring for low income students, and I would never think to throw the SAT book at the head of the kid and go "lol fuck u I'm a volunteer." That being said, I don't think its intentional ineptitude as much as a failure / disinterest of the devs to put in place an acceptable code of conduct for this server. Why are there still no concrete rules two years into the server? Why do the same people get to shit up ooc every night? I don't know.

Refer to the last sentence. They don't care about their red server, its obvious. As long as they don't care, don't set rules, remain inconsistent, they will never gain as many players as they lose.
