IP address/dns info for the Ruins of Kunark server?
Hello, ever since the server got moved I haven't been able to login to P1999 servers from my work network. I can login to the main EQEmu server and then login to any other server (eg PEQ or HiddenForest) but not the Project 1999 ones, when I try those I just get bumped back to the main login screen. Since it does work at home on the same laptop it must be a DNS routing issue, I figure that the dns servers here just haven't caught up yet to the data center changes.
Does anyone have the server IP/hostname for the P1999 Ruins of Kunark server so I can do a tracert and see where I'm getting stopped? Or to confirm that it's still pointed at an old address? PM me if you don't feel comfortable posting it for all to see [You must be logged in to view images. Hmm I found a log file dbg.txt in Everquest/Logs and the relevant section that keeps cropping up is:

I just installed it on another laptop here at work and can connect to every server but the P1999 ones so I'm thinking this issue is not necessarily PC related. I also tried logging on with a new loginserver acct since that solved the same problem for someone else in another thread but no luck..
There must be something different with the way the Project 1999 servers authenticate or route traffic back to the client because I'm at a loss to explain why I can connect to all the other servers but not the Kunark server..

Read through here. Has ip and flush command suggestions.

I tried those suggestions already but no luck. The thing is that I can connect to and play chars on every server I've tried on the server list EXCEPT the 2 Project 1999 ones. So my dns routing is good (at least to the EQEmu login server and to the other world servers), my login server account is good, the software is running properly, the firewalls/AV are good, it's just the Project 1999 servers that are either dropping or refusing to connect via my IP.
The most logical conclusion now is that my IP is being blocked by the Project 1999 servers but I asked in the Petition forum and was told that if I was being blocked I would get the IP Block message, which I don't. I am able to connect to the Project 1999 servers at home just fine however using the same laptop. Hmm now that I think about it, does Project 1999 use different ports to return traffic than the other servers do? So I found I can successfully tracert and ping the Project 1999 servers at: 181.rogean.com (108.61.129.181) But can't ping or tracert the servers I CAN connect to, weird haha

BAH
Ok problem solved, it's completely a dns issue, I have access to some external vlans through which i can logon successfully to Project 1999 if I run a 30 foot cat 5 cable down the hallway, but the main dns server here at work still has the old routing table entries. So I now have to either ask for an external connection to be added to the custom switch in my office or for the main university dns cache to be flushed (I already told them it was just for a game though so they may or may not want to do it, maybe one of them plays eq..)
