Well I certainly agree that led zeppelin was one of the great bands of all time, but hardly comparable with iron maiden just in genre difference. May as well compare 2pac to johnny cash.

And like .. you can't compare poetry with songwriting. They are completely different arts.

auden's poem is ekphrastic (art about art)
the story of icarus appears in Bibliotheca (Pseudo-Apollodorus) a collection of poems about the myths in ancient greece.
hence the iron maiden song being ekphrastic
