I love in a cottage in the woods by a backwater creek that feeds into the chesapeake bay. In the winter, 95% of our heat is by firewood. as long as I have a fishing rod and some hooks - I'll survive.

boiling water for disinfection purposes is extremely inefficient.

also some shit isn't killed at boiling temperature. bleach kills everything, is most efficient, and totally safe.
