I never had a chance to play EQ2, nor ever had a system that could play it (until now).

I'd love an EQ2 Emu Server just for the chance to play it.

But alas, it seems from all the posts, we'll most likely never see an EQ 2 Emulator. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

EQ2 official is free to play (which is basically a giant trial, and is not practical without a sub) now.

Soon it will let you just start at level 85 close to endgame, in September, which honestly is when the game starts to be fun. I'd check it out then.

Heh, really? That'd be kinda nice. I've never got past level 30 on EQ 2. The low level zones are so deserted and it feels like a solo game, unless you join an active guild, which isn't a bad thing, but still: you only see a few players from time to time. Or at least with my experience this is how it's been.

EQ2 was pretty fun although I hated the locked combat and it looked like you were running with a load in your pants when engaged. I loved sending my pet and Life tapping people while I hid underwater. Fun as shit.

If a EQ2 classic server went to EoF that'd be the money ticket. Have to start the server at LU13 though.

EQ2 had some of the funnest crafting and housing systems I have ever experienced. But yeah, the early release of it was very difficult to play with.
