Liberals believe in the community spirit and helping others, a civilized, advanced society, etc, it is just taken too far and helping becomes controlling. You can't have that 32 ounce soda because of obesity. You need healthcare because you'll need it one day whether you admit it. You can no longer buy an AR-15 because of public safety, etc, etc.

Ends justify the means etc. is the mentality. I don't agree with all of it, but as I stated in the OP it's better than the common alternative ::see below::

Conservatives believe in personal responsibility, freedom from taxes and other people in your business. You live your life the way you want and I live mine the way I want. The problem here is that it turns into the inability of the government to step in when atrocities are committed by the wealthy or corporations because the EPA, FCC, FDA, etc all tell us how to live and that's a no no.

You know, unless you're a woman, or a non-heterosexual, or someone who doesn't accept the lord jesus christ as your savior. etc. etc. etc.

Most Libs and Conservatives mean well and have good intentions. Everyone just takes it too far.
