I misspoke. I actually cut and pasted. But anyways, it's still doing the same thing. EQ launches, I agree to the EULA, then I enter my username/password and then it tries to connect to the server for about 10 seconds before telling me that a connection to the server couldn't be reached and to check my internet connection.
Holy crap, I'm at school - could that be why? Perhaps games are blocked? Although I regularly see guys sitting around playing D3 or other games that look like mmorpgs... | ||

I doubt it's blocked. Is it a college campus with dorms?

Yep, there are dorms here and the more I think about it the more I doubt it'd blocked too. Any ideas on things I should check or is this just a weird anamoly?

Hmm, as this is my school computer I dont really have that much installed on it. I don't know of any security programs running in the back ground and normally windows asks if I want to allow something access through my firewall, right?

I don't know how to help you. Do you take your school lap top home where you could check it on that connection?

Yeah, I suppose I'll just have to do that. I sincerely appreciate all of your help. If that ends up working I'll post about it here.

Launcher or no, it does sound like you're being blocked. Has happened to me multiple times using other networks (hotels, coffee shops). Good luck.
