The whole goal of The A-Team has been to do cool stuff in the endgame without tracking and 3AM batphones. I think for the most part we've been successful.

Definitely. Everyone wants to come back and do a bit more content than they did on live, but instead the endgame here is hugely overcrowded with everyone else thinking the same thing. Add a lack of progression, so you can't just wait for another expac to draw off the top guilds, and things can get really frustrating.
I understand why Rogean implemented Variance. Without it, we would have literally 300 people on Trakanon's spawn point every time. The problem is that variance 'solves' things by making the raid scene so soul-suckingly onerous that most people just aren't willing to get involved at all.
