There are no penalties for PvP deaths anymore. This doesn't mean that you can't be xp griefed with mobs, tho.

Yellow text is now also in for the ego-centric crowd, lol. Leaderboards, etc.

I tried red and really wanted to like it but its just not fun playing by yourself. I have trouble finding groups during off-peak times on blue where the population is ~300ish so playing on red with 50-100 people max is just impossible...

Red is unfortunately a dead server. Hopefully pvp-teams will be fun, but for now, I will play blue while we wait for that server.

Red99 needs to die asap though. Make room for the new.

That's the point though. Red won't die when teams are opened up. Old server is planned to be merged with the new server 10 or so months in after the launch. Yay. No thanks.

Again, if that changes, super. I'll roll on the new server in a heartbeat. If not, screw it. I'm well enough informed of all the unacceptable garbage that red was built on - intentional or not.

Don't let a few bad eggs ruin it for you. Most are kind people on red.

PvP as a playstyle is a blast. I like it better than PvE....unless the game doesn't support it well. EQ does not. A custom server with a bunch of mods to balance PvP might be cool...I'd probably give that a whirl. But standard EQ PvP? Nu uh.
