Hey, Winga here again. Frankly, it's disheartening to hear so much negativity. I started playing here just a couple months ago, and until now my experience with the p1999 populace was entirely positive. I'm just going to reiterate some facts for those who find fault in my actions:
1) I followed server rules to the very best of my abilities. I claimed and stuck to a single room in a near empty zone that I could easily have completely cleared (bard pulls everything, i heal to draw aggro, pet kills everything) 2) My camp was grief-ed by an enraged idiot acting out because his lvl 12 epic-wielding cleric couldn't take the best camp in the zone. Wall camp has access to plenty of legos and is very reasonable experience for someone his level. This guy's reaction to a legitimate camp was to make up his own rules and try to enforce them by grief'ing with a higher level char. These actions are exactly why the server has rules in place! My initial response was to try to explain the rules and how I'm following them, and to contact a GM. I don't have any reason to suspect that his guild, especially the officers, share any of the emotional and maturity problems exhibited by this guy. We chatted with someone higher up in his guild, but based on the bard's propensity for lying (ie: the claims I would "train him"), I'm not surprised they didn't step in. The whole situation was fairly amusing, since the griefer wasn't actually strong enough to outdps my pet and only got kills when he got a head start while my pet was engaged on another mob. The vindicating moment of the whole experience came a little while before Nirali and I left. The bard shouts to the zone that he's giving away free belts and pads. This comes right before he made his post here claiming it was his strategy the whole time. What a hero. Anyways, he follows it up by saying he'd give away more when he'd filled a second bag. Holy crap. I had like 5-6 bags since he started his harassment, and Nirali had at least 4 bags as well. Despite this guy riling up some people in the zone with claims of higher lvl players "stealing mobs from a lvl 12 cleric", I think we left most players with a positive leveling experience. Kept a random lvl 7 druid buffed the whole time we were there and helped him get his prayer cloth when a bracer of battle dropped for us. Buffed the hell out of tons of people.

Getting a bit tired of these new guild call outs in forums. CB belts 2pp each, CB pads 4pp each, buy them for that and offer buffs for them along with plat. If there's a group wanting to take over TR, let them. It's a courtesy just how camps were a courtesy in live which were never enforced.

What you get when you mass invite random people and try to weed them out later...

I've had a few encounters with Vex Dominus myself. Nothing to make a thread about but in general seems like a mass invited noob guild. Certainly nothing like the Original VD.

So let me get this straight:
A level 45 shaman is butthurt because he was farming belts and pads for his alt in a noob zone during peak hours, and threatened to train a level 12 cleric for getting aggroed and killing a single mob while scouting the TR for his noob group. This area of CB is the only area in the zone where levels 10+ can get good experience. The 45 shaman thought he could wave his epeen around and threaten to train anyone who invades "his turf". He would rather do this than pay the 3pp per pad/1pp per belt it would cost, and let the noobs get the xp in their own zone. Problem: this level 12 cleric has a high level main, and wasnt about to let this guy threaten to train noobs in a noob zone. This level 45 shaman has to call for backup, so his level 52 druid friend comes. The cleric logs his main, proceeds to steal belts and pads from these assholes and give them to noobs, so at least they can get some XP, since there are a lot of them waiting for the one camp that actually gives decent xp at their level. The Shaman and Druid get their jimmies so rustled over this that they proceed to make an entire forum thread, trashing not only this person, but this persons entire guild (who had absolutely no part in this), all because they couldnt afford the ~100pp it would cost them to buy some belts and pads to twink their alts, and let the noobs have their own zone in the process. TL;DR rustled jimmies

Sounds like crushbone is the new seafury isle. Those belts and pads are hot hot hot! Just imagine the drama if these players make it to the level where camps produce drops worth more than 2-4pp.
