Necros actually were shit in PvP from Kunark to Velious. The only way to make them better would be to un-nerf pet damage (not classic), un-nerf dot damage or make them harder to cure/dispel (not classic), or buff lifetaps in pvp (not classic either).

Also if you have the patience for it for the first few lvls, a Bard can solo quite easily into the 30s/40s in just a few days or so and are quite fun to play

What about Shaman, I assume they are the same as druids but without ports?

Respectfully and with great personal experience, disagree.

You forgot the classic way to make them better: counters on spells. If it took the appropriate number of casts of Cure Disease, Cure Poison, or Cancel Magic to remove buffs/debuffs/DoTs then all of the sudden things are classic and Necros and other classes reliant on these spells become much better.

In the meantime, Deflux doesn't care about dispel.

Shaman is excellent I wish I had a 60 shaman

Also necros can be real potent and difficult to deal with. They just usually force plugs or make people die at their bind points without kill credit. I dint think I have ever had some 1 cast screaming terror on me here to block a gate tho. Do they know or does it not land?

Think I will have to go with Druid, that way if I have no friends at least I can travel for free!
