Default Druid Snare / Root not interacting properly

In live, a druid was able to snare a mob and then root it and the snare would not be affected. In p99, the snare is cancelled out by a root - this is not supposed to happen. Also, if a mob is rooted a snare will not take hold.

This seriously affects druid's ability to kite properly, and keeps us from being able to root a mob in an emergency and then snare him to ensure he won't come bolting after us when the root wears off.

Snare and root didn't stack until january 9th 2001, so that would be after Velious launch: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/history/patches.html

Druids kite just fine without root/snare stacking.

working as intended. there was a period when snare and root from any class didn't stack, and that time is now on the p99 timeline. epic druid would love to be able to root and epic dot, but o well.

Default Druid Root/Snare

If we are going by 1999 The Epic's Did not come out until September of 2000 according to patch history.

- Epic quests are introduced (Sept. 19) 2000
- Characters now say "Hail Playername" instead of just "Hail" (Apr. 17) 2001

Here are some items in affect now on P99 but druid root/snare is not. Sounds like its pick and choose what is and is not part of the game.

Have you ever tried bugging the Hail thing? i'm sure if they can remove it they will. It's not a pick and choose things. Epics came before Root/snare stacking. Simple as that if you can do the math.

Don't worry I have a bug report in trying to get "Hail" fixed to time line appropriate levels.
