This thread was a great idea but I just read through and and wtf dudes. I'm pretty new to playing red full time and seeing that any non nihi can't do anything but talk shit is pretty discouraging.

Seems like the only thing that is going to get another challenging guild together is new blood... But I guess we already new that.

Nihilum had their A team - Tune/Nizzar/Batlle and like 7 others corpse camping Rexx's guild, a 55 warrior and 53 rogue Knuckle's hate trash group of 13 people.

Most of the people on the boards don't realise what their guild members do - they need to deguild and get a fresh perspective on things. They try their hardest griefing literally the last group of people in range to 60's off the box.

Depending on the PVP discussions I'll most likely be cashing my loot out and officially giving up on the box - Nizzar and company like to feel like big fish in a little pond, but ultimately just choke out any chance of a fun nostalgic EQ experience.

I am probably to blame as much as them if not more for the current attitude on red99 - but this won't change, and apparently they don't get bored of doing all the same boring raids week after week - so it's probably time to cut losses.

Nihilum members that go along with this for potential Velious loot - hope ya'll feel shame letting that french nerd ruin the box.

The Heartbrands/Elderans/other Nihilum forum questers saying the griefers and scum need to be pressured off the box for growth of new players - but they are blinded by the fact that they are part of the machine that causes this.

Yet holocaust griefed countless newbs off box with trains and shitting on damask robe casters 24/7 back when box had chance, and you were a huge part of that? I don't get it, if its pvp most people are here for who the fuck cares then what dragons nihilum kills or does not kill? You can get almost all the loot except for donals bp and like two epics from nizzar anyway and everything in VP sucks other than Phara Dar loot. People act like the only way to have fun is to raid or mass pvp. Dunno make your own fun. The server sucks cuz no people on it and to claim there's no people cuz nihilum kills bosses seems to run completely counter to what tons of ex red players have said.

Having said that wall of text, I've always been against "griefing" newb groups, and I hate bringing 10 people for 3 and shit like that.

only thing fun about pvp is some kind of immersive rivalry hence why teams will always be superior to ffa as far as enjoyment goes. FFA pvp is pretty much centered around grief. while im not opposed to griefing it really ruins the long term playablilty of this game. if you guys ever played on a teams server you would know this. you werent killing people to just ruin their day, you were invading enemy territory or defending your homelands. without immersion lets face it, EQ is a shitty game. content can be zerged while strats comprise of auto attack and CH. eq isnt hard and for the most part is a very very very slow game (insane amounts of downtime.) what i love about it is the fantasy based immersion and unbalanced classes. best times on the server were mass pvp and defending highkeep and misty thicket from evils. pras.

if they are immersed, they will come.
