52 hours max corresponds very well to that 17.5 hour/10500 ticks with up to 2 skips. It's probably something along the lines of 66% chance first spawn, 66% chance second, 100% third, or maybe 50%, 75%, 100%. Velious had a propensity to do spawns like that.
