problems running on my laptop

Please help!

I went through the whole install/change process to get it going and it starts loading then I get "eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." I installed wineq2 and it gets further, I get to enter my username/password and it brings up the loading screen and the loading bar fills completely up then it just closes and drops me back to the desktop.

I have tried: reinstalling completely, updating my video card drivers, changing my resolution, reloading directx, clearing reg errors.

My laptop is a Sager Intel Pentium M 1.73 processor, 1gig of ram, 128 meg ATI mobility X700 video card, Winxp service pack 3.

I was playing eq live 6 months ago with this laptop but everything has been cleared out.

Any help would be appreciated, have spent probably 10 hours working on this.
