Unhappy Help! Spell files and Eqchanges Problems!

Ok, I usually play on PEQ TGC using the Underfoot client. I have no issues there.

However, I finally got a copy of Titanium, installed it, made the quick changes in EQhost and changed the target of my EQgame file, and logged right in. When I tried to log into Project 1999, error. "Your spell files are out of date"

For four days Ive devoted thirty minutes to an hour trying to fix this problem.

Duxa's didn't have a spell files only option, and I couldn't get a reply as to how to manually fix the problem.

Next, I found a link to the forums, nothing.

Finally I found the .zip file for v28. I download and get another error, "this zip file is corrupted or invalid" I used several different unzippers and had no luck.

I like doing things myself, so I haven't tried the launcher yet, and I really don't want to use Duxa's for a full install....

Do I have any options left here? I have literally been dreaming of playing Eq classic again for ten years, and this is bothering me to no end. Please help.

Thank you,
Singol

I also have up until now had a perfectly functioning copy of the game, and can't get past this error either. Will someone send me their spell files please? I cannot find the matching pair... (have gone through every post and link on here to no avail.)

Thank you!

Thanks for the replies, I'm trying the Eqemu launcher stated in the guide. I had to get .net framework updates to run the executable.

I'll let you know if that works.

Also, I tried the zip file, it wouldn't unzip. I kept having error messages about an invalid or corrupt .zip file.

^^ not sure why you're getting that error, everyone else dl'd and extracted with no problems.

If launcher works just use that, if not, it could be about 500 different things related to your unzipper not working right so lets cross that bridge when we come to it.

I get the launcher working with my updated .net framwork and!!....
something simalar to "dbsetup is not a valid path, access is denied" that was a couple days ago, then i made the file available to anyone on the computer and turned off comodo completely. Then it said "eqemulauncher has stopped working unexpectedly please send all your .txt files to moe@moestavern.com"

I'm really hoping for some good news soon.. this is depressing. lol
