more properly tho, the penis itself, but more correctly the male reproductive system, should be considered an organ system or group, rather than a single organ.

actually your skin as a whole is an organ. a penis is made of spongy tissue, not muscle. But it's part of an organ (your entire epidermis).

What I remember from anatomy class: Organs are 2 or more types of tissue that work together to preform a specific function. One of those tissues may or may not be muscle tissue, I don't remember, but it's definitely an organ and those nurses are definitely idiots.
