I think Sony needs to realize people still like MMOs that looks like they were made for N64 or PS1 lol. Thats one of the most appealing things about old eq to me, and also the fact that quests happened through actually having to talk to npcs and getting your response right as opposed to having clickable responses. Small things really, but they made the game.

I love eq1...you can even put me in the old vision (tm) fanboy club...but even I don't think the NPC interaction in eq was good. It was buggy, broken, and generally was better when you could avoid it. Most folks did not solve riddles to get the dialogues right, they looked them up on walk throughs.
I also agree that clickable choices are very unimmersive, as are animations or voice acted cut scenes where yo watch your character talk on his on like swtor.
