Interesting...
I was 39 when EQ first came out. It was what my gaming group had been waiting on; we were long time ADD players who were in various stages of having kids and just couldnt get together very much. We cut our CRPG teeth on the Ultima's, Wizardry's, the Gold Box games etc and always hoped that one day, we'd be able to play them together!
EQ came along and we were in heaven! Course we never knew a thing about EQ and our group was a Thief, Ranger, Pally, Wizard and Monk... I just laugh about it now! No CC, no heals and no tanking but we all had a blast!
At that time, it was unheard of to actually pay a monthly fee for a computer game. 6 months in, I had 3 accounts; 1 for me and 1 for each of my kids. My oldest was 12 and my youngest was 10... we had a blast and to this day, we still play games together.
Fast forward to today and I'm setting up 2 accounts on P1999 so my wife (remarried now) and I can EQ together. My kids are both playing on a classic DAoC server!
