Really the idea is just to figure out WHO got the duped AON and ban the fuck out of them and anything else their IP address touched

Wiping the server is stupid.

Fix the problem, finish velious, release a new server and follow the time line, let this one die off naturally.

Being unable to play due to lag is stupid. Dying because of lag every night is stupid. A ruined economy due to RMT is stupid. Trading accounts for plat/cash is stupid.

A fresh server is anything but stupid.

it is stupid from the perspective of the person running the server.

You wipe the server months before the release everyone has been waiting for.. people find something else to play and say they will come back in x months.. then they dont.

You let this server keep going as is.. find more massive exploits like this.. then when velious is close to ready you can re-release and everyone is excited all over but still addicted to the server.

No, wiping the server is in fact stupid. Who wants to play on a server where the staff will annihilate your character?

And its not like the lag would go away anyway. A fresh server would just mean a higher fraction of items would be duped.

They're not going to wipe the damn server. Why is that hard to understand? Drop it, and wait/hope they release a fresh one after this one has been fine tuned to their liking.
