lol there is still plenty of challenge to this game, hard to buy stuff with tons of people having hundreds of thousands of plat already accumilated :S

I am new to P99 as well, only a few weeks. I am not sure what race you are but head over to West Commonlands where the trading is at. Learn what people want and sell some stuff. There will be people who will probably just give you some stuff but its not the same.

I started off with zero and have earned my way up by selling HQ cat/bear pelts, Bonechips, and even blacksmithing some banded gear.

Play how you like, but just note there are ways to make some cash even at lower levels

There's lots of cheap gear to buy, keep an eye on the EC tunnel forums. Most low end gear goes for 50-200pp
