Three categories of people desire to wake the sleeper. None of the categories are mutually exclusive.

1. Those that want to witness the live event of Kerafyrm terrorizing Velious.

2. Those that have no desire to gear alts and want their characters with exclusive warder items to stand out and be elite compared to other characters on the server.

3. Those that want to compensate for low self-esteem or lack of attention in real life by griefing other players on a computer game. You can see Relaspse's thread in Rants and Flames of waking the Sleeper on EQMac.

Personally, if the server were ever going to shut down for some extenuating circumstance, I think it would be cool if the server globally came together to wake the Sleeper as a last hurrah.

I really don't expect that the devs here would bother trying to script something as complex as this. From what I recall, it didn't really work on live back in the day.

he was killed on emarr first, while still bugged. Da'Kor got him maybe a month or 2 into Velious? They locked down Zland and Kland and no one could figure out why (no 'l33t b3t4 1nf0z'), or at the time beat LTK, Sont, or Yeli.
