AC in Sro

What are the specifics on the OOT AC? I have always gone for the SRO one, mostly because I could solo it the earliest (sometime in early 30's).

I looked up the AC in OOT and got several different answers, I guess his spawn loc/ph changed as time went on.

On p1999 what island is he on, and what is the PH?

Also what does my necro need to be to solo?

If ZAM is accurate and he is 31-32 you should be able to easily solo him at 29+ provided you are SOW'd. I was soloing giants at 28, but it was rough at times. However they are more along the lines of ~35. Also I highly recommend using Engulfing Darkness instead of the level 29 snare (Dooming) in order to conserve mana in case you get a few resists. Just kite it with darkness, boil blood, leach, lich spell on, and let your pet do the work. Also keep your level 1 disease dot up in case you need to get aggro away from your pet.

I camped the Sro spawn for 20 hours straight with nothing, then after 3 hours (on my birthday no less!) of killing the 30 minute PH he spawned.

On live my total camp time was almost a hundred hours(weeks of a few hours at a time) so this time around it seemed easy =D

The massive amount of confusion stems from a few things:

1) Night and day are an hour off on this server.
2) The AC spawned in more than one spot on Live, or at least it used to.
3) Bullshit theories about how killing various static mobs has an effect on things.

The reason why the AC spawns in one spot on this server is that a EQ developer supposedly spilled the beans in a forum post as to how it worked, and everyone takes what the guy said as the gospel for some reason.

He posted it because the JBoots quest no longer involved the AC at that point.

Not anymore. Night runs from 8 to 6 now. This may be your issue.

I got ac the other day in South ro. I was dubious about the times on this server so was leaving the phs till 11. This necro chap kills my phs at 10 I tell him ac is camped etc, he moves on, ph spawns I kill it and at 6am just as I'm about to log, ac spawns [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] so not only does he spawn, the timer on this server works just like on live so you can have 2 chances per night.
