Let me be more specific. A ducks webbed foot is used as a paddle when in water, and after the back stroke (propelling the duck forward), the webbing folds up so that the duck can bring the foot forward with significantly less drag. While the plastic foot likely aids the duck in walking on land (as seen in the photo), it might also induce a lot of drag when the duck is swimming, essentially acting as an anchor.
What Agatha's bro (Jupe?) did is super cool, I am just wondering how it worked out functionally for the duck. In hind sight, "Does the duck seem to like it?" wasn't exactly the correct question to ask. Oh and I am no duck facial expression expert, but to me the photo of the duck with its mouth open could just as easily be an angry duck compared to a happy duck. Projecting your own emotional state onto animals is common. In this case, a feel good story about fitting a duck with a prosthetic foot primes your emotions in a positive way, thus you are more likely to interpret the duck in the photo as "happy." Hot damn, that was way too long, if you made it this far, kudos on wasting 2 mins of your life.
