Hey owl root let me throw one more wrench in da gears, what if I went amd? I've heard nothing about how inferior they are to Intel (which seems to of been the case since 2007at least). I can see myself able to shave my price down another $200 bucks if I went with an amd CPU/mobo and a radeon GPU. At 650 bucks we are talking some serious savings over a gaming laptop, but would it compete with the Asus g73 laptop I bought 2 years ago?

You can read my other post but just to address this:

I spent $625 on my AMD build that I described in the above post, and I can run BF3 on Ultra @ 45-60 fps depending on the area. I can run anything on max settings and never dip below 40FPS.
