I suggest you look into War Is A Racket, by Major General Smedley Butler, 1935. Then you'll see the US's reasons for war, and how Vietnam was quite the success (for our banking industry anyway)

And before you go off about the Tet Offensive, that is more the err of humans than America's military might. The vietnamese declared a cease fire and then dishonoured it.

I hope you realize that nobody here takes a single thing that you type seriously and the only reason anyone refutes the crap that you have been spewing is in preparation for the off-chance some unfortunately manipulable soul browsing these forums sees your viewpoints running unopposed.

When the fighting ceased and the smoke cleared, the Communists and Viet Cong had lost 37,000 troops killed and many more wounded or captured. Though the Americans, by contrast, lost 2,500, the Tet Offensive was a victory for North Vietnam in that it seriously weakened public support for the war back in America.

There you go, we still won militarily, just public opinion changed.

hallo vietnam was a proxy war. ussr was nearly our equal in military tech back then

even still north vietnamese died at nearly a 20-1 rate compared to americans. they just made the war more trouble than it was worth

PATRIOT, n. A dangerous tool of the powers that be. A herd member who compensates for lack of self-respect by identifying with an abstraction. An enemy of individual freedom. A fancier of the rich, arousing odor of boot leather.

PATRIOTISM, n. 1) The inability to distinguish between the government and one's 'country'; 2) A highly praiseworthy virtue characterized by the desire to dominate and kill; 3) A feeling of exultation experienced when contemplating heaps of charred 'enemy' corpses; 4) The first, last, and perennial refuge of scoundrels.
