I get this too, badly, in both Permafrost and Sol A.

First got it about a month ago in Sol A, mentioned it to some people I was grouped with and they said their friends get it in perma also. Was in Permafrost over the last few days and, sure enough, got it again and mentioned it in /ooc....Someone says they got it in Sol A also.

Purely anecdotal, but it would seem that anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 or more of the people in these zones get this problem at any given time. It seems to nail some of us, while others don't get it at all. It always seems to involve combat, interacting with doors or corpses and spell casting being incredibly delayed in action and (in the case of spells) recast, usually on the order of 10 to 20 or more seconds of delay, while sometimes (but not always) chat works perfectly fine.

All I know is, while I sometimes DC, this isn't the same thing. This seems to act like some kind of memory leak, although I cannot say that's what it is. It just seems to behave that way. The longer I'm in the zone, the more likely it is to crop up and the worse it gets. The first time it cropped up in Sol A for me, relogging like 5 times seemed to clear it. In perma, I found that just leaving the zone worked fine, but it almost always came back if I was in the zone for more than 5 mins.

Beyond that, all I can say is please fix this ASAP. Besides being two of my favorite old-world zones, both of these zones are like shopping malls for gear and quest items and not being able to utilize them reliably and safely is a serious kick in the knee for the classic game. Please don't hesitate to ask if I can personally help with testing or offer any additional info or anything at all that will help in sorting this out.

Thank You!

Default Same Problem

First time I went to perma, thought it was lagging b/c there was a Vox raid going on. Gave up after a while and left.

Second time, there were only 5 people in the zone and had same issues. Connection looks fine but after about 2 minutes in the zone, spells start taking 30 seconds to cast and gates won't open. I can still see people in my party moving around on time and they can open gates for me, but it seems like nothing I do is getting across.

If I relog, the problem is fixed for about 2 minutes then comes back.

I am in Seattle on a 25mbps connection on a LAN (not wireless).

Every other zone (including SolA) runs fine for me. Perma's the only place I've had this problem.

(came here to post after having the problem just now on my 4th try. Logging in, hoping I'm not dead again from this.)

Went there on maybe Friday, before the patch. Kicked around for 25-30, no problems. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
