Just curious.
As a point of reference, it takes as much time/mana for me to kill a giant as it does for me to rez a person. An average giant has a plat value of 20-25pp (provided it is not a sand giant that drops a sand of ro that skews things closer to 150p per kill). From a purely fiscal standpoint this would be a nice minimum per corpse I am to rez. Again it comes down to convenience. The closest port to HK still has me spending 12+ minutes to get there. I could run to WC and bag a giant and his respawn faster, so offering 50p for one body in highhold probably won't get me out there. If this is the case I will probably just respond with whether or not I intend to swing by there or not some time that day for reasons of my own. I mean there's other ways I guess it could be measured and valued, by how much plat the individual being rezzed would make in the time you earn a good chunk of that exp back for example, but since that is relative by level, fluctuates greatly based on what you're exp or make cash on, and omits the consideration of those people levelling on twinked alts, I would rather not try and quantify it.

If the amount of plat you need to offer me for a rez is so significant to you, I would rather you just straight up asked for a pity rez and kept the money to buy your spells or put it towards a new piece of gear you need. I would rather people say "this is all I can spare right now" than "this is all I have" -- it makes me feel like an extortionist rather than providing a service. I hope by now most of the server knows me to be neither miserly, nor unreasonable. I get not being able to donate much, and that for a lot of new players on p1999 they might not have a lot of cash to throw around. Asking for pity rezzes is completely legit, and depending on what I have on my plate I might even get around to them. With this in mind, please don't abuse my generosity. If I am in ECT and your group wipes at Orc1, and one or two people forgot to bind in freeport so are a continent away, then yea I will probably do them so you can get your group up and rolling again. This does not mean I will rez the rest of your group that was bound just outside FP gates. Also, just because I rez you once or twice doesn't mean I will necessarily rez you again in a different time or situation. I almost certainly don't want to rez the 42 corpses of your group at Oasis docks.

The more convenient a situation is, the more the line shifts from unnoticed disdain when I click the trade window to "pleasant surprise". If I am doing something like camping something like scryer in uguk so I can get all my alt casters bracelets of woven grass, bring it on down and I will probably do it. 16.5 minutes gives me an awful lot of time, just know that when my mob is due I will be wanting to keep sufficient mana for it. In situations like those pretty much anything is a pleasant surprise because I wouldn't be doing anything else of note. As many have found in the last week while I have been doing guk till my eyes bleed to buy a couple higher value items I require, if I am there and not running a timer on multiple rares because the zone is relatively empty, I usually can and will squeeze you in.
