I've found that if you don't have a bottle opener you can always push the cork inside the bottle... It's not ideal but it at least allows you to get your drink on :P

Yup this works, you can use your tongue to keep the cork from blocking the neck... wat??

We always did this when in a jam. Just be careful to not break the cork much or you get little nutty tasting wood in your glass.

Sometimes the best solution is the simplest. Can't believe I never thought to do this. The days of gnawing sadly at a cork on new year's eve are no more.
