Wrong, dogs have smiled and also spoken since I was a kid. I can remember my pup Sandy looking at me dismissively and saying "wwwwoooof" when she caught me playing hide n seek. She always smiled at me.
As for cats, I don't have any positive memories of them. I just remember waking up drowning in fluid at my aunt's house from the cat dander 1nce. But the smell of piss does not excite me so I probably don't have that humiliating parasite which makes one sexually attracted to the piss of a small animal, so it makes sense I haven't developed a covert sadomasochistic relationship with any furry pets
