From the thousands of comments I've received on this video, it's quite clear that there is a lot of frustration out there. Simon Sinek is not a millennial, but I am, and his words really struck a chord with me. I am surrounded by people my age who are unhappy, who feel a lack of purpose, who feel entitled, who are depressed and I have even lost friends to suicide. Growing up I was told I could do anything I wanted. I was told I was special. However, I learned early that you don't get everything handed to you. I have my sports career to thank for this mentality. After countless disappointments in athletics, I developed a mindset of resilience. I think that is a key element that so many kids/millennials are missing.

And if I was some young idiot like him -- I might say something similar about how getting competitive at video games like warcraft 3 taught me determination...lost over and over...couldn't get half as good as I wanted. But I got better...

It's the god damn same with almost everyone though isn't it? And do we know the people that didn't experience this are the people with the least job prospects? So WTF is this argument really based on?
