I think we agree that the 50% drop rate indicated on the Magelo Spiroc Lord page was post-upgrade after epics were released (http://eq.magelo.com/item/20679). And thus it should be lower.

In any case, there should definitely never be 2.

The PEQ DB has:

Table: 4 Probability: 50% Multiplier: 1
Item Type Chance
Spiroc Wingblade 1H Slashing 100%

Why was this changed?

After epics came out the rate was increased to that percentage. Before epics came out the blade was the rare with the lowest percentage.

I can't remember for sure, but didn't you have to leave the right guardian up? And you only had the correct one, by either luck, or cheating with the likes of showeq? Didn't you need the one whose name started with a '#'?

I spent a few times farming the spiroc lord on live. So been there to see it work.

Correct, there is only 1 Spiroc Guardian. However, there are 3 Spiroc vanquishers.
