Spiroc Lord
 

We've noticed that every once and a while the Spiroc Lord doesn't respawn even if the Guardian is up.

Other times it does respawn, so there isn't any level of consistency.

sometimes he spawns twice, one on top of the other, and that's a really major pita...

This happened last week and Hobby killed one spiroc lord but unfortunately it was the wrong one. So after downing the single lord and leaving the guardian up he didn't want to respawn. I think it had to do with him killing the wrong spiroc lord that was attached to that guardian? Either way i don't quite get how there was 2. Certainly makes that encounter truly impossible ;P

It stinks to have a raid force there and ready to kill multiple SL's and then just have to camp because he didnt respawn.

As was noted above, it is absolutely horrible to get 50 people to show up for a single spiroc lord kill after he refuses to respawn... There was only 1 spiroc lord up (2 blades) and the guardian up. After downing mr lord he refused to spawn.

We were told to do the research to show this is in fact the case:

Just wanted to throw this in, apparently when Lord is dual wielding wingblades he gets extra attacks. Whether it's because of the current workaround for triple/quad flags not working right or not, IDK.

Believe he should only be wielding a single blade. I'm seeing from our sources that he had a 30-60% drop rate for a single blade, but a second blade was never mentioned.

I think we agree that the 50% drop rate indicated on the Magelo Spiroc Lord page was post-upgrade after epics were released (http://eq.magelo.com/item/20679). And thus it should be lower.

In any case, there should definitely never be 2.

Why was this changed?

About 4 months ago me and friends were playing on live and went to air and and beat him down a few times back to back for jollies, I got elected as the guy to eat the DTs at start, main purpose is to point out that hes still respawnable on live right now same as back during classic, as far as I know the only changes made to Spiroc Lord was his loot table... %s and what not..

After epics came out the rate was increased to that percentage. Before epics came out the blade was the rare with the lowest percentage.
