Drakar, long standing member of R1999. Spent my first 54 levels on the server in a nuetral noob guild, to see the basic truth. Half the server want to progress in the game and have fun, while the other half are degenerates who just want to grief everyone else off the box. Sadly majority of those that fall in the second half also sit around the forums talking crap all day.

While there are good and bad in every guild, I can guarantee that the majority of people posting for variance are the toxic players wanting a new way to grief the server (having the top raiding guilds waste more time to constantly have alts to check spawns).

They will in fact get LESS raid targets and it will only encourage ex-Azrael veterans to perma camp all their characters in VP next to Phara Dar room to snipe more PD loots rather than roam the greater world of Norrath.

Server will be more dead than it has ever been once u guys realise that you won't get any raid targets this way and you will blame the #1 guild and the cycle of bullshit continues.

TLDR-
Have helped many new players in my time (almost out of steam here). I know it is Ex-Azrael members who are actively griefing and blaming Nihilum for the server demise. Welcome to Red 99.

What planet are you on? A group asked my alt to join in KC a couple days ago for dps even though I wanted to log off, and a circus of Azrael players started logging on their 60 mains (Edward, Bangan etc) and alternating between their hokuten tagged alts, while griefing the group out of the zone.

Tune hasn't random pked for over 6 months, I suspect you may be living in the past with Colgate

Tune willingly PLed me at one point in MM and helped pull a SoulFire mob for me loooooooong before I joined Nihilum.

Long before I knew who he was too: never gave off any elitist vibes or shit talk.

All I did was ask him nicely and he said sure nps.

P.s.s. another nilly player gave me a very nice paladin weapon too, after another nilly player ported me to gfay while this player ran to gfay to give it to me.

P.s.s.s another nilly player used to group with me in com/sola (had a massive 6-8 gained level group in sola) and he gave me pretty much all the drops since my gear sucked. ( and for the record not once was azreal or server history mentioned in probably 8-10 hrs of grouping)

All these decent acts of kindness long before my app for nilly got posted.

Let's not forget all the help Drakar has given me too.

To be fair also not all help came from nilly:
Flexin helped me too! Some random dude gave me some good stuff then went all bipolar or something too and an Azrael bound warrior/druid did too.

With all the above mentioned it would be a large part of the reason I still play, and assuming other new players too.

@jib - Now you see no one who logs in for more than 2-4 hours a week wants to join a guild with a proganda level so high that Kimmy from North Korea would be proud of.

I'm glad your not totaly drinking the Nihilum coolaid. The reason Tune plvled you was because Nihilum really needed more people at the time. It wasn't because it was out of the kindness of his heart. Tune would farm anyone not in Nihilum constantly back in the day. Tune has rallied more people to the resistances banner than most of Nihilum combined. I'm not saying Tune is a bad person at all. In fact hes probably a decent fellow. I personally have never had any issue with him, but he did those nice things because Nihilum was loosing and they just needed warm bodies to throw at the resistance.

A lot of what Jib said about Nihilum griefing new players was true even if you havn't been on the server long enough to see it.

So is killing a player considered griefing now or what? Sure Tune did the whole PVP board farming thing, but he'd kill you once and move on. Wasn't like he was corpse camping you, exp lossing you, killing you on a supertwink like Mrbigs (Azrael character) or other things you could actually consider grief.

But after he got banned for tab targeting someone in mass PVP (a rule which was changed later on) he pretty much stopped that PVP all together. I think he felt he was a target for the staff because so many people whined about him PVPing all the time. So this was months and months ago now.

Before I was tagged or anyone in Nihilum knew who I was, I saw the way the server was. I was killed naked on CR, right after rezzes, trained for exp loss....all by Azrael. I ate my death from Tune in CoM at 52 like everybody else, was not a big deal. The best was Stasis killing me 10 seconds after I got rezzed because I had died to a mob and I had the gall to accept a rez from a Nihilum cleric. I didn't whine about it, but when one guild is killing you on CR and after rezzes and the other guild is helping you CR and giving you rezzes the choice ain't that tough bro. You guys can cry about the nutswinging, blubieness and whatever else you want but the fact of the matter is Azrael does our recruiting for us by shitting up the forums and ooc constantly, treating new players like shit and basically being a bunch of greasy assholes in game.

But hey, let's change the server rules so they can compete while still acting like assholes to everyone, instead of being Nihilum doormats because they can't recruit a raid force to challenge us...that will be great for R99.
