Did you download and extract the eqchanges3 and uichanges2 files as described in the setup thread as well after the reinstall? And of course remove the 5 files mentioned earlier?
Yes been over the installation process several times . what has me stumped is that originally i was able to play even without the proper install and now it wont ven launch

Yes been over the download several times... replaced the files and moved the old ones to a back up folder . With some more tinkering the error is gone but after launching the game it begins to load EQ then just closes, no error just exits program as it starts to launch.

Also check this path and make sure you remove it before a reinstall to make sure you're using 100% fresh files:

c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Pro gram Files (x86)\Sony\Everquest

Or something close to that depending... If you didn't install the setup by using 'Run as Administrator' the UAC isn't invoked and it can't put some files in the root Everquest directory. These include your eqclient.ini, and UI character files, etc...

I didnt install using " run as admin " Im gonna do another reinstall with that .... and as for the uninstall i use revo uninstall it gets 99% of all related files registry strings and left over files . Ill let ya know here in a bit the out come . Thanks again for helping me get this going im still super excited to play .
