Used copies on Amazon range from $52 to $190, new $149 to $346. I can't imagine that anyone will actually buy the $300+ copies anytime soon but I have talked to people that claim to have spent $100+ on a new copy.

Yea that is crazy ... Is there anyway to make copies of Titanium? Like if you have the discs can you burn it and make CDs or load it onto a flash drive and be able to give to people to install it? Probably gotta have some nice tech knowledge to hack past stuff, but IS it possible?
If anyone knows...

In 2013 no one who is interested in EQ now would know that little about a computer, much less not be able to google somthing. OP is either a statistical outlier and is in fact a completely new player or this is a fail troll; cant tell which.

Well I am more of a console gamer, retro really... And I am not sure what a Statistical Outlier is. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I don't think I am a troll, never liked the class myself, more of an Iskar or Barbarian, but I am pretty much a new player, albeit one from Trilogy and Shadows of Luclin with a very brief stint in Planes of Power and that is where it went down hill from there in personal opinion.

I thought PC games only cost around $60ish for most, unless getting a collectors edition or something. I thought EQ also just charged per expansion and you just kind of load up everything up until that point, while keeping your old characters and equipment if you had any. Last night I downloaded the free, I think it is called Bronze version of the game and began playing it. It shoved me in some kind of Drakkonian city instead of the birth place of the Barbarians... the whole reason I chose the Barbarian was to experience the snow and ice again. The game plays, but barely. Even going to the first hut with all the trainers makes my laptop lag horribly and I have all the graphics, as far as I am aware of turned down. Log in or Register.] I am not sure if it will be the same if I ever get a copy of the retail version or not and when only playing on the "classical trilogy" bits if it will improve the performance.

You wouldn't have any problems with the titanium client. Modern EQ's graphics are more performance intensive than what you would be using here. Honestly, don't pay for the client - like has been said SOE give the files away for free anyway - just not the specific version you need. Nobody is going to come banging down your door to drag you through the courts and ban you from using a computer for life because you downloaded an ancient bit of software to play some classic eq. If SOE didn't want people playing this they would have shut ot down a long time ago.
